Weekly Yoga Classes

Weekly classes are a great way to find out whether you like a particular style of yoga; and once you get started the regularity of weekly group sessions can help you develop strength and flexibility and thus maintain a yoga practice.  I currently run three types of classes:

Hatha Yoga Class

This class combines the strength and dynamism of Yang movements with some deep Yin stretches for a fully balanced hatha yoga practice. The class ends with a period of pranayama and relaxation/mindfulness meditation.

The class is open to all levels but is more suited to those with some experience of yoga

Mondays 5.15-6.45 pm Wighton village hall, Buddell's Lane, Wighton,Hall, Norfolk

Beginners' Yoga Class

This class provides a general introduction to yoga and covers all the basic principles like breathing, posture, full body awareness and relaxation techniques as well as a more careful look at some simple yoga asanas.

Mondays 7.00-8.15 pm Wighton village hall, Buddell's Lane, Wighton,Hall, Norfolk

Chair Yoga Class

Devised in 2008 for St Hilda's East day centre and now continuing at the Geffrye Museum with the Asian women's group.

The chair yoga class uses gentle, chair based exercises to improve breathing, circulation and joint mobility as well as introducing students to techniques for good posture and relaxation.

It is suitable for all ages including those with limited mobility.
